Mr. J.C.M. Silvius, acting as the trustee in the bankruptcy of Holland Norway Lines B.V. (hereinafter referred to as "Trustee"), respects your personal data and ensures that the personal information provided to us or otherwise obtained is treated confidentially. Sharing of Your Data
The Trustee only shares your personal data with third parties to the extent necessary for the processing of your claim and the settlement of the bankruptcy.
Additionally, the Trustee will provide personal data to a third party, such as a supervisory authority or another public authority, to the extent that there is a legal obligation to do so.
A data processing agreement will be concluded with every third party processing your personal data on behalf of and under the instruction of the Trustee, obliging them to comply with the GDPR. Third parties engaged by the Trustee, providing services as data controllers, are responsible for compliance with the GDPR for the (further) processing of your personal data. This includes, for example, an accountant, lawyer, notary, or other third party engaged for a second opinion or an expert report.
The Trustee will never share your personal data with a party located outside the European Union and therefore not fully subject to the GDPR, without prior consultation.
Security
The Trustee considers the security and protection of your personal data to be of utmost importance and, taking into account the state of the art, ensures appropriate technical and organizational measures to guarantee a level of security appropriate to the risk. In the event that the Trustee uses services of third parties, such as an IT supplier, the Trustee will record agreements in a data processing agreement regarding adequate security measures for the protection of personal data.
Retention Period
The Trustee does not retain processed personal data for longer than necessary for the aforementioned purposes of data processing or as required by law and regulations.
Obligation to Provide Personal Data
The Trustee strives for as much freedom of choice and protection of your personal data as possible. This means that we offer you as much choice as possible in whether you wish to provide your personal data.
For example, if you choose not to provide your personal data by allowing (all) cookies, this will have no consequence, and you can continue to use the website as usual. However, in some cases, the Trustee is obliged to request and process your personal data.
Nevertheless, the Trustee endeavors to offer you full freedom of choice regarding whether or not to provide your personal data. This means that, if possible, not providing your personal data will have no (adverse) consequences. In cases where we are obliged to request and process your personal data, we will inform you in advance, stating the reason for this obligation.
